Collaborative project for GlaxoSmithKline...
Day2 worked closely with the design team from NBBJ Architects to specify and supply a comprehensive new furniture package to GlaxoSmithKline’s refurbished office space at Building 9, Stockley Park.
The client had 3 key goals for the project; to create a flexible, collaborative office environment, to incorporate hot desks into the floor plate and to introduce ergonomic height adjustable desk positions for 20% of the users. This vision was achieved by specifying a highly flexibleworkstation solution from a leading systems furniture manufacturer, that allows height adjustable positions to be incorporated into a collaborative work bench format.
GSK also wanted to encourage cultural change within the department, promoting and enabling creative teamwork as well as flexible individual working. This was achieved through the creation of breakout areas around the building’s atrium to offer locations away from the desk for informal and semi-private meetings.
