Adaptability lies at the heart of every product at the Capital One White Collar Factory offices, from mobile open-plan workstations to reconfigurable sofa systems and folding lounge chairs in the multifunctional town hall space.
Day2 worked closely with designers HLW to curate a range of products for Capital One, creating flexibility and encouraging user mobility. The desking was designed to be adaptable, with mobile height adjustable desks. Each workstation is docked at a storage spine containing power and data infrastructure and can be rotated through 180 degrees, allowing the user to either address the bench in a traditional linear configuration or turn to work in pairs on collaborative tasks. Stability and cable management were key considerations in the design process and with our meticulous attention to detail, a rigorous mock-up process was followed to test every aspect of the design.
