Day2 partnered with Baillie Gifford and the wider project team to deliver the furniture consultancy, specification, procurement and installation for the investment manager's new 280,000 sq ft global headquarters in the heart of Edinburgh. Working alongside the design team over a three-year programme, our role focused on creating an agile, high-performance workplace that supports collaboration, wellbeing and long-term flexibility, while embedding sustainability throughout the furniture strategy.

Spanning eight floors and approximately 280,000 sq ft, Baillie Gifford's new headquarters represents one of Scotland's most significant workplace developments. Designed to bring together thousands of employees under one roof, the building provides a destination workplace that reflects the company's long-term investment philosophy and people-first culture.
Day2 was appointed as the project's furniture consultant, working closely with the client from the earliest stages of design through to final installation. Our team developed the workplace furniture strategy, coordinated mock-ups and user trials, managed the specification process, and delivered procurement, logistics and installation across the entire building.
The workplace offers a diverse range of environments, from focused work settings and collaborative team spaces to hospitality-inspired lounges, meeting suites and social hubs. Every furniture selection was carefully considered to balance aesthetics, ergonomics, durability and environmental performance, ensuring each space supports the different ways people work throughout the day.
Sustainability was central to the project, with the furniture strategy aligning to the client's environmental ambitions through responsible material selection, transparent product data and a focus on longevity and future adaptability. By combining thoughtful design with meticulous project delivery, the result is a workplace that is both highly functional and built to support Baillie Gifford for years to come.
